Year 4 Lower
Mr Oliver
About Mr Oliver
Mr Oliver is excited to be teaching Year 4 and is looking forward to a fantastic year of learning, discovery and fun. He enjoys creating an engaging classroom where children feel confident to challenge themselves and develop a love of learning.
Outside of school, Mr Oliver enjoys playing badminton and football, as well as spending time outdoors walking and camping in the Lake District with his family. His favourite book is The Last Bear by Hannah Gold, and he loves sharing great stories with his class. His favourite food is chicken makhani curry with rice, and summer is his favourite season because it gives him the chance to explore new places and enjoy the sunshine.
An interesting fact about Mr Oliver is that he grew up in a place called Newton Aycliffe, near Durham in the North East of England. He also has a passion for history and fondly remembers travelling around France with his dad, visiting World War Two sites before finishing the trip at Paris and Disneyland Paris. He has also recently visited Poland, where he was able to continue his passion for WW2 by visiting Auschwitz and Birkenau.

Knowledge Organisers & Newsletters
At Ash Green, we value our curriculum and want to keep you informed about your child’s learning. Each half term, we will upload a newsletter explaining what your child will be learning in every subject. These newsletters will also include important dates, events, and exciting activities to look forward to.
The newsletters are a great way for you to talk with your child about their learning and support them with extra activities at home. Don’t forget to check Class Dojo for homework rewards and incentives too!
You can also find our Knowledge Organisers for each unit in the Autumn, Spring, and Summer by clicking the images below.
